Joyracer Limited Warranty
We build Joyracer vehicles to be handed down — from an older child to a younger one, from one family to the next. This warranty explains exactly what we cover, for how long, and what to do if something goes wrong. We have tried to write it in plain English, with no hidden conditions.
1. What This Warranty Covers
Joyracer warrants that your vehicle will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use by a child within the stated age and weight limits, for the periods set out in section 2.
This warranty is provided by Joyracer to the owner of the vehicle and applies to vehicles purchased from joyracerus.com or an authorized Joyracer retailer in the United States.
You do not need to register your product to be covered. Your order record is enough. We do offer optional registration because it lets us reach you if a safety notice is ever issued, but registering is never a condition of this warranty.
2. Warranty Periods
All periods run from the date your vehicle is delivered.
| What | Covered for |
|---|---|
| Complete vehicle — materials and workmanship, including motors, controller, and frame | 2 years |
| Battery | 6 months — see section 3 |
| Wear items — see section 5 | Not covered |
| Complete vehicle with the optional Extended Protection Plan | 4 years (battery and wear items not included) |
Replacement parts supplied under this warranty are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period, not a new one.
Optional Extended Protection Plan. For $49.99, added when you buy your vehicle, you can extend coverage for the complete vehicle to 4 years from delivery. The battery and wear items are not included and keep the coverage shown above. Everything else in this warranty applies to the extended period in the same way.
3. About the Battery
Batteries are the part people ask about most, so here is a straight answer.
Every rechargeable battery loses capacity over time. A battery that runs for a shorter time after a year of use has not failed — it is behaving normally, and gradual capacity loss is not covered by this warranty.
Within the battery warranty period we will replace a battery free of charge if it:
- will not accept a charge at all;
- is swollen, cracked, or leaking;
- cannot power the vehicle at all after a full charge, when the rest of the vehicle is working normally.
Battery life depends heavily on how it is stored and charged. Please read our Battery Care guide — a battery left fully discharged over a cold winter is the single most common cause of early failure, and it is preventable. Damage caused by leaving the battery flat for long periods, charging with a non-Joyracer charger, or exposure to rain or water is not covered.
Replacement batteries are always available to purchase from our parts store, in or out of warranty.
4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
- Normal wear and tear, including the wear items listed in section 5
- Damage from accidents, collisions, or dropping the vehicle
- Damage from exceeding the stated weight limit, or from carrying more riders than the vehicle is designed for
- Damage from use on unsuitable surfaces, including public roads, or from exposure to rain, snow, or water
- Damage from improper assembly, where assembly instructions were not followed
- Cosmetic damage such as scratches, scuffs, and fading that does not affect how the vehicle works
- Vehicles used for rental, commercial, or competitive purposes
- Damage caused by a modification, as described in section 6
5. Wear Items
These parts are expected to wear out with normal use and are not covered by this warranty. All of them are available to buy from our parts store:
Tires, seats and seat covers, stickers and decorative trim, light covers, remote control batteries, and screws and fasteners.
6. Modifications and Third-Party Parts
Using a part that Joyracer did not make does not automatically void this warranty. If a third-party part or a modification causes a failure, that specific damage is not covered — but the rest of the vehicle remains under warranty.
We know some owners enjoy customizing their vehicles, and we are not going to penalize you for it. We do ask two things for safety reasons: never modify the speed controller or the battery system, and always use a Joyracer charger. Both are safety-critical.
7. How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Email store@joyracerus.com with your order number, a photo of the serial number or product label, photos of the affected part, and a short video (30 seconds or less) showing the problem.
- We respond within one business day. Many issues — a loose connector, a stiff steering column, a battery that needs a full reconditioning charge — can be solved the same day with a short video call or a guide, and we will always try that first.
- If a part needs replacing, we ship it free of charge along with a step-by-step video showing how to fit it. Most repairs on a Joyracer can be done at home with basic tools.
- If the vehicle cannot be repaired at home, we email you a free prepaid shipping label, then repair or replace the vehicle at no cost to you.
You do not need to ship anything back before we have looked at your photos and video.
8. What We Will Do
Within the applicable warranty period, and at our option, we will repair the vehicle, replace the defective part, or replace the vehicle. If none of these is possible — for example if the model is no longer available and no equivalent exists — we will refund the purchase price.
You will not be charged for parts, labor, or shipping on a valid warranty claim.
9. Parts Availability
We keep replacement parts in stock and available to purchase for at least 1 year after a model is discontinued. A ride-on car should not become disposable because one part broke.
10. Transfers and Gifts
This warranty stays with the vehicle, not the buyer. If the vehicle was a gift, or is passed to another family, the warranty continues for the remainder of its term. The new owner just needs the original order number or proof of purchase date when making a claim.
If you are giving a Joyracer as a gift, include the order confirmation with it — or email us and we will send a gift-friendly copy without the price.
11. Your Legal Rights
Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this written warranty. Joyracer is not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of this product.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
12. Questions
Email store@joyracerus.com with your order number. We reply within one business day, and a real person will read your message. If you are not sure whether something is covered, ask us anyway — we would rather look at a photo than have you assume the answer is no.
