Start with their height, driving experience and where they will ride. Age is a guide; comfortable reach to the controls matters too.
1. Find a comfortable fit
Measure your child standing upright. Check the model’s rider limits and make sure they can reach the steering and pedals comfortably.
2. Match their driving experience
First ride: begin together and build confidence with simple controls. Growing confidence: explore steering and imaginative play. Confident drivers: consider a kart or larger outdoor ride suited to their experience.
3. Choose for your play area
Go-karts and drift karts belong on smooth, dry, flat paved surfaces. For grass or packed dirt, compare the suitable surfaces listed for each outdoor model. Ride in private play areas with an adult nearby.
